I was blown away by this intriguing read! I could not put it down once I started...I was mesmerized right away. There are so many emotions that were evoked during the story. Where you may think the plot is leading isn't the case at all. This was such a heart wrenching story where you learn to love the characters. They aren't the clean cut conservative couple, they're a little rough around the edges, but the story makes you want what's best for them down to your core. Beautifully written! Kudos to the author. I look forward to reading more of his books in the future!Product details

For me, I am not that much into fiction and get bored with fiction about 95 percent of the time. Then I began to read this book Placebo Effect. From the beginning, I was drawn into the story and simply could not put my down as I HAD to finish this book. So I read it through lunch and dinner before stopping!
As I was reading this book, I could see in my mind, the characters and really feel their story just as if this was a NON FICTION and real life book. It is so real and believable in my opinion. After keeping my Kleenex handy, I kept reading until the end.
So I want to say more about the end, but instead I will say that I will not because I do not want to give it away.
This is a book that made me see how important life really is and to live in the now and make it count....I came away from this book feeling inspired and very happy to have read this book.
Highly recommend this book.
This was a well written debut from an interesting new writer. I cared about the characters and felt invested in the story. I look forward to his next novel.
Most books seem to have their ups and downs along the way some chapters are very exciting, others have you skip pages just to find out if it gets any better - this book is not one of them. It's a constant rollercoaster ride of ups and ups that sometimes makes you bite your lips and fingernails from excitement and/or compassion for the affectionally drawn detailed characters.
It felt like an old friend telling me a very moving story rather than reading some guy's book.
Once this story picks up, IT REALLY PICKS UP. And you won't want to stop until the end. You won't even want to stop then. Very interesting and different story line.
This book gets you interested right from the very beginning, at times you will find yourself holding your breath, just waiting to find what happens next! And the ending well your just going to have to read it.........
